fearless

by Ambulance Ltd.

You say the hill's too steep to climb
Trying
You say you'd like to see me try
Climbing

You pick the place and I'll choose the time
And I'll climb the hill in my own way
Just wait a while for the right say
And as I rise above the tree lines in the clouds
I look down hearing the sounds of the things you've said today

Fearlessly the idiot faced the crowd
Smiling
Merciless the magistrate turns round
Frowning
And who's the fool who wears the crown
Go down in your way
And ever day is the right day
As you rise above the fear lines in this crown
You look down hearing the sound of faces in the crowd

nine things: tin

My friend Tin.
No words can explain how crazy fun she is! She has an absolute zest for life and happiness that radiates out of her. We have gone on countless food trips (Gloria Maris hot pot!!) and surf trips (Pagudpud!) and I'm looking forward to more. :)

Here are her nine things.

  1. I am obsessed with tinted lip balms and lip stains. As soon as I see a new one come out I just have to try it. But my all time favorite which can always be found in my kikay kit since 2004 is MAC's lip conditioner in Virtuous Violet.  It keeps my lips moisturized and a pretty shade of pink and it has a very mild yummy flavor to it. :)
  2. I cannot live without my Blackberry. Ever since Barrack Obama refused to give up his Blackberry when he was elected president, I told myself I had to get one just to see what all the fuss was about  and now I can't live without one. Of course I had to have it in pink!!
  3. I am always at the beach and one of the things i cannot live without is a surfboard. How boring life was before I started surfing!
  4. Whenever I go about during the day having lunch with my friends, buying groceries or running errands, I am most comfortable in flat open toed sandals. I simply cannot have enough of these footwear that I practically live in.  They're just so comfy and practical to wear!
  5. I hate cold weather!! Anything below 15 degrees is absolute torture for me which is why i love the tropics! We are sooo lucky to be living in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Really! I feel so blessed :) Bali in Indonesia though is a very close 2nd to my heart. The food, the culture and the SURF!!! Here's a photo of Ulu Watu. Beautiful spot!!!
  6. One of the cheapest and quickest pick me ups is a splash of a scent that we love and one that brings a smile to my face is this lovely citrus fragrance by C.O. Bigelow in New York :)  BANGO!!!!!
  7. My all time favorite movie is one of a well planned revenge played out carefully in a emotional trial by victims of child abuse and rape. Galing ng delivery ng cast and who could've played them better than Brad Pitt, Robert De Niro, Kevin Bacon... Need I say more?? favorite movie of all time, SLEEPERS!!
  8. There are few things that I love more than the pleasure of eating. I LOVE FOOD!!! Food brings people together, brightens your mood, has the power to nourish and destroy you, pero don na lang tyo sa nourish part :) so here's one of my favorite dishes of all time. LECHON. If you want to be my friend all you have to do is give me lechon and friends na tyo :)
  9. AND last but not the least, there is really NOTHING in this world more important than family. The people God has put in our lives for us to love and care for whether we like it or not! hahaha Sometimes it's more torture than pleasure but really, the best, most rewarding feeling in the world is to know you have a family that loves you and will always stand by you no matter how much you fuck up (excuse my french). And even at my lowest and saddest of times, I know I am never alone for as long as I have my family and there is notthing in this universe that comes close to the feeling my family brings to my heart :)

closets

Since I'm fairly obsessed with fashion, naturally one of my favorite elements of a room (or a home) is the closet. I dream of having a walk-in-closet one day.

And I don't want it to be just a storage box for dumping clothes... I want it to be a room. A room where i can sit, have coffee...a room with a view.

check this one for example. The closet has a full window in one corner, and very very spacious.

heard it on the radio

such a chill track. what a voice.

When we first met, it wasn't what you said

And still I loved you like mad, I loved you like mad

When we first met, they were playing that song
And then it stuck into my head, stuck into my head
When we first kissed, it made it to my list
And I couldn't stop myself, think of nothing else
When we parked the car, they were playing that song
And we turned it up to ten and started up again

Every time I hear it play

I think of you and those summer days
Oh, I can still remember
When I heard it on the radio
Oh, but now we are September
Come on, forget what we know

When you broke my heart, there was nothing you could say

And still I loved you like mad, I loved you like mad
Now that I think back, it wasn't what we had
They were just playing that song, made it last so long

Every time I hear it play

I think of you and those summer days
Oh, I can still remember
When I heard it on the radio
Oh, but now we are September
Come on, forget what we know

Oh, I can still remember

When I heard it on the radio
Oh, but now we are September
Come on, forget what we know
Oh, I can still remember
When I heard it on the radio
Oh, but now we are September
Come on, forget what we know

silk: thai cuisine

I have always loved food. Lots of it. And I'm someone who is adventurous when it comes to satisfying my taste buds. Sure I could never go wrong with classic buffalo wings, a cheeseburger, or some alfredo pasta. But I've always been drawn to trying other cuisine too.

Lucky me, because my parents both work as flight attendants for Philippine Airlines so they were able to share with us the love of travel and consequently, love of international cuisine! :)

Aaaah... Thai food. Just the mention of those two words, I could already taste the tom yum soup and thai iced tea in my mouth. *drool*
Thai food is definitely up there on my 'favorite cuisine' list (along with Italian & Japanese)!

I heard from my friend Noelle about Silk Thai Cuisine. And I have to say I'm excited to try it! It actually used to be Thai at Silk Resto but was relaunched to introduce new dishes and a new look!

-----

Located at the Serendra lifestyle mall in Fort Bonifacio, Silk is a restaurant with cozy and chic
interiors. Whether youʼre having a date, a family meal or just having lunch with your friends, it is
the perfect place to leisurely enjoy delicious and mouthwatering Thai food.

Wow! these interiors look so cozy!

I love how they used pink and green with Thai inspired ornaments and design to lessen the in-your-face vibe of too traditional Thai decor.

The Silk menu is made up of traditional Thai cuisine, in which a full meal not only acquaints you
with the various spices and flavors of Asia, it also allows you to enjoy a balance of the four
fundamental taste flavors of Thai cuisine – sweet, spicy, salty and sour.

Start off with the traditional Thai soup of Tom Yum Talay, which is a sour-spicy seafood soup with
hints of galangal, lemon grass and coriander. Try the Silk Appetizer Selection that is a mélange of
the restaurantʼs different appetizers – the bestselling Thai Spring Rolls, Tung Tong or Crispy
Shrimp and Coriander Pastry, Grilled Pork wrapped in Betel Leaf, and the delectable Chicken
Satay served with Thai Curry Sauce.

For seafood enthusiasts, try our new Seafood Satay which are marinated skewers of Prawn,
Squid and Snapper fillets that come with a delightful dipping sauce of palm vinegar and various
condiments, and the famous Pomelo and Shrimp Salad, which will surely transport you to the
streets and markets of Thailand.

Of course, having a Thai meal will not be complete without a taste of curry. For those who do not
like spicy food, the Green Chicken Curry is perfect for you, although all dishes may be adjusted to
your personal spice level preference. Try the Roast Duck in Red Curry and the tender, stewedfor-
hours Beef Shank in Mussaman Curry.

For the main course, Silk has an extensive set of dishes that offer lots of chicken, beef, seafood
and vegetables. For crab lovers, the Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab with Black Pepper Sauce is a
must and feast on the new Crab dish as well (cooked in 3 ways – Crab with Egg Curry, Crab with
Black Pepper Sauce and Garlic Crab). For sweet and sour flavor enthusiasts we have also
added a new dish to the menu - Thai Style Sweet and Sour Lapu Lapu.

No need to wonder about Thailandʼs most popular of noodles and rice dishes - Silkʼs Phad Thai
and Bagoong Rice are one of the best in the metro.

For those who love sweet endings – cap off your meal with the Mango Sticky Rice or the housemade
ice creams of Durian, Coconut and Mango.

Last but not least, to fully enjoy your lunch or dinner out, Silk has a pleasant wine selection that
pairs well with the flavors of Thai Food, a full bar service and an extensive list of cocktails which
include Pandan Martinis, Lemongrass Martinis, and Silkʼs own Ginger Zinger. Enjoy Happy Hour
from 6pm-8pm everyday.

wow, these look yummy.

peeps enjoying their fill of yummy Thai cuisine!

And wait to see what my food experience will be once I get to try them!!
No kidding, I could taste the tom yum right now...
