My family has always been (and always will be!) hungry for adventure. The lure of exploring the unexplored --seeing the beauty of little known places-- has led us on countless long, crazy, fun road trips.

There is just something about going somewhere...
different. And by different I don't mean somewhere weird or what. A place you've never been before, or somewhere other than where everybody else goes. Or do something you don't normally do. Oftentimes, the most beautiful and interesting places are the ones least known and least obvious
.

We discovered Calaguas through my dad's friend Pam Pujalte who was (not sure if she still is) the head of the tourism department of Daet, Camarines Norte. Glad we were able to experience the island before it became popular!

2010 - Mt. Pulag, Benguet
4 hour trek, setting up camp at dusk while temperatures dropped to almost zero, bunkered in the tent while the mountain climate gave us rain at freezing temperatures. But waking up the next day and seeing this view? Totally worth it.
