Yes, I am completely embracing the white shoes trend. What color to more perfectly show off tanned skin?

my two musketeers Nina & Kim

Last Spetember, when I found out we were being invited to our friends' Pao & Sam's wedding in Feb, I sort of thought of what I wanted to wear already but said "Nah, that's still in February. More than enough time to buy or have a dress made."

Fast forward to end of January, panic mode. Good thing my friend Tin has a closet full of goodness. I raided her hangers one day (along with my fellow musketeer Kim - watch our for her outfit post on this on kimcamjones.blogspot.com!) and found this simple yet elegant gem from Zara. And it's also satisfying to my recent color obsession! It's a light gray chiffon tube with navy blue water color-esque forest print, and a deep navy blue lining.

Did my own hair and thanks to youtube tutorials, I was able to do a messy chignon by myself. Not bad Niks. *patsselfonback Also did my own makeup - opted for a clean face, just mascara and bronze blush, with a deep plum lip.

lusting after...

... this dressing room. But I'll change the ottoman into a plush lounging chair or even a bean bag or a hammock. And I will not be owning only black white and grey clothing. And no golf bag. I'll put a bag or hat stand instead. Or a lamp. And I'll put some artwork to make it more into a dressing ROOM rather than just a walk-in-closet.

... and this vanity table. But I'll tweak it again by not putting it in an old-fashioned room. the same table, mirror and lamp in a modern room (see dressing room above), a more modern floral piece.

... this coffee table-slash-fireplace. Why didn't I think of this???
from here
I also want it to be cold enough so we actually DO need a fireplace.

Anyway, these are a few of my favorite things (right now). I don't think the dressing room's doable unless I buy a house. hahaha

two - toned

I've been wanting to try the ombre hair trend for quite some time now. I asked around where I could get one and found out that Azta Urban Salon does great ombre jobs.

So about a month ago, when I got an invitation from blogger Alessandra Lanot to join her for a day at the salon, of course I said yes! {see her ombre hair review here}

First step (and longest!) is to bleach the hair that you want to be light. Mine took 4 hours to bleach! Then the color (in my case ash blonde) will be applied and allowed to set.
stylist Jo doing his thing :)

I know, I know, this is quite a 'safe' ombre. Next time maybe I'll go for a lighter blonde at the tips or even a bright funky color. We'll see.

For now, I'll enjoy my ashy! Thanks Azta! :)

a thing i considered a total no-no...i realized it's kinda quirky and kinda stylish as long as you don't use the same wash and hue :)

At the end of March, Buji's sister, Dr. Elise Libarnes, got married. She wed her super bait and super kulit boyfriend Arch. Mark Ouano. It was such a beautiful summer themed wedding! During that entire week, it was raining and gloomy everyday, but luckily the sun was out on their wedding day. :)

Kim and I goofing around in the church. It's a shame I wasn't able to take a photo of the back of Kim's dress! It's got a low v at the back. So nice & classy :) And excuse me for the open-mouth look. haha

Kim why are you so gorgeous? And yes, whattaface again from me. And whatta calves.

Welcoming the guests at the reception in Mango Farm, Antipolo, was this cute sign.

The tables were given names of places the couple has been,or where they wish to travel in the future.

we were sat in the Ting-Init (Cebuano) table, conveniently beside the buffet table. Thanks Elise! :)

The couple had set up a photo booth outside the reception hall. Of course we goofed around some more!
